"THE PATH"

This painting shows the spiritual path. This golden path starts in the valleys.
Alternating on the left and the right we see “fire” and “water” (the male and female, the Ida and the Pingala in yoga).
At the fourth stage the wordly valleys are internally left behind. The seeker arrives in the spiritual realm.
At the fifth and the sixth step we see the night of the full moon: stuff from the subconscious as well as esoteric knowledge surface.
The journey however goes on. The seeker has to pass through the ultimate fires of transformation. At this seventh stage he becomes innocent and one with existence, symbolised by the star.
