WHERE DOES THE WORLD COME FROM?
80 x 60 cm.
Acrylics and gold leaf on Belgian linen.
This painting is a tribute to the teachings of Shantam Dheeraj, founder of Tibetan Pulsing Yoga.
In the middle we see a figure evolving from duality into Oneness (spread legs, touching hands). From his heart colored ellipses are originating which encircle the world. They represent the different aspects of our psyche as well as the different groups of laws ruling our existence and the world. In Shantam Dheerajs system of transformation they are called the different waves.
Our own state of consciousness determines the way we perceive the world around us. In the picture the figure is in total harmony and oneness with the earth in a state of self realisation. His being shares the treasures he has found, so as to help raising the consciousness of all friends on the planet.
The figure also stands central in a big eye-shaped form. On the left and right we can see smaller eyes.
The big eye is actually the integration of both the smaller ones, which represent our male and female aspects and perception. It symbolises the third eye.
On the vertical axis we see at the bottom eternal unconsciousness, at the top eternal consciousness. Our figure stands in the middle on top of a kind of ladder with numbers in Tibetan writing. These numbers tell us the amount of restrictions operating on our existence, or in other words how mechanical or aware we are living.
The person here has passed the level of transformation and resides in a state of samadhi. Above, evolution goes on into even higher states.
In this part also a poem by the enlightened poet Kabir (1389-1518) is written. A translation from the original Devanagiri can be found on the left.
O dear friends!
why are you groping in the dark?
In this body is the flower garden
the benign Creator stays here.
All the seven sees are here
and all the myriad stars.
In this body are all the gems
and also the unknown Tester.
Here the Eternal music swells
and surge the fountains of life.
Says Kabir- listen O dear friends!
this (understanding) is my spiritual teacher who guides me.
