This painting depicts the mystical Gate of Life.
In the centre we see the "Flower of Life".
This is the name for a mathematical construction made up out of 19 circles.
This "Flower of Life" is regarded as a key to many sacred geometry constructions. Variations can be found in different cultures and mathematically it is the model for natural occurring developments and patterns.
In this painting a variation was created to indicate the connection of this symbol to the chakra system used in Yoga.
Also, gates mostly exists out of two parts, which express here the complementary forces (yin/yang).
